Full of pride, after a modest beginning in 2023, we are launching the Flowserve Club Battle. With this new initiative we want to encourage sports clubs to run with youth teams (10 – 15 years). Over a distance of 5 kilometers, clubs can compete against other clubs from greater Breda and Etten-Leur.
Associations that have already signed up are Ice Hockey Club Yetis, VV Bavel, VV Baronie and WDS.
The clubs are of course running for club honors and there are prizes to be won. All clubs that participate in the Flowserve Club Battle and promote it through their website/social media channels will have a chance to win the Battle prize, a check worth €500, through a draw. Other prizes include a check worth €500 for the club with the fastest five finishers, a check worth €300 for the fastest individual club runner and a check worth €200 for the club with the most number of participants.
Participants in the flowserve Club Battle automatically support both their own club and the Jeugdfonds Sport en Cultuur with their registration. From every Club Battle entry, € 2.50 goes back to the club fund and € 2.50 goes to the Jeugdfonds Sport en Cltuur. Everyone wins!
The Club Battle is possible thanks to our new sponsor Flowserve, an international company that manufactures pumps, pumping systems and valves. The largest facility of this company is located in Etten Leur. A nice example of a solving a technical challenge are the fish-friendly mega-pumps in the recently renovated afsluitdijk. A piece of Brabant engineering of which we too are proud.

The company has participated in the Business Run for years. Flowserve already works a lot with young people. The company has its own business school, offers internships and traineeships. As a distance sponsor, Flowserve would like to enthuse the youth about technology and therefore commits itself for 3 years to the Club Battle.
